Book Trailer Of The Week: Imaginary Girls

June13

This trailer is just gorgeous – teasing us with quotes on that gorgeous blue background with music that wouldn’t feel out of place in a relaxing spa (I guess – I’ve never been to one lol).

Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma is published in the UK by Dutton Books on the 14th June 2011.

Book Trailer Of The Week: Life: An Exploded Diagram

June6

Don’t you think that Walker do the most awesome of trailers – watching it could almost be like your in the cinema waiting for a film to start. And Life: An Exploded Diagram is no exception, it has a movie like quality to it which gives us a hint of what the story might be about.

Life: An Exploded Diagram by Mal Peet was published by Walker Books on the 2nd June 2011.

Book Trailer Of The Week: Tiger’s Curse

May30

I received Tiger’s Curse the other week and it sounds fab and like something that would be right up my street (and the cover is gorgeous!). The trailer is a relatively simple one largely featuring text which teases us with information about the story. I feel that the music is very appropriate too!

Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck was published by Hodder & Stoughton on the 26th May 2011.

Book Trailer Of The Week: OTOLI

May23

I saw the trailer for OTOLI on a blog in the last week or so (I can’t remember which – sorry!!) and from the description and trailer it sounds like such an important book and I’ll leave my description at that.

The trailer reflects what I think the book will be like with music and graphics to match, what do you think?

OTOLI by Bryony Allen was published by Pneuma Springs Publishing on the 28th April 2011.

Book Trailer Of The Week: Fallen Grace

May16

My trailer of the week this week is Fallen Grace by Mary Hooper – I don’t really know what to say about it, if anything it feels to me slightly creepy with really down beat music (which sounds about right considering the subject of the book).

So I’ll leave it at that, what do you think?

Fallen Grace is available now in Hardback and will be published in paperback on the 6th June by Bloomsbury Books.

Book Trailer Of The Week: Forever

May9

This weeks book trailer of the week has been created by the author themself, it’s the book trailer for Maggie Stiefvater’s Forever.

I absolutely adore the music and I loved the animals flying around and chasing each other on the bookcases. Admittedly the trailer gives nothing away about the story (and doesn’t really tell you anything about it but I don’t care I love it).

On a side note it’s been made using stop motion – an animation technique that I adore and admire – it must have taken ages to create (24 – 25 pictures are normally required for just 1 second of footage!).

Anyhoo enough from me it’s the trailer you want to see, so here it is :D

Forever is published by Scholastic on the 13th July 2011.

Book Trailer Of The Week: The Emerald Atlas

May2

This weeks trailer of the week is The Emerald Atlas which I love as it’s different from any other book trailer I’ve seen. It uses drawn like graphics to tease us with the story and it’s backed up by other character profile videos.

The Emerald Atlas by John Stevens was published by Doubleday Books on the 14th April 2011.

Book Trailer Of The Week: Long Reach

April25

For this weeks trailer of the week let me take you back to a release at the beginning of the year – Long Reach by Peter Cocks and published by Walker Books here in the UK. The trailer could almost be for a film, it really lifts the standards that much with music and live action footage which kind of creeps me out.

Long Reach was published on the 3rd January 2011 and here’s a taster of what you’re in for!

Book Trailer Of The Week: The Truth About Celia Frost

April18

For this weeks trailer of the week I’m looking ahead to a future release. The Truth About Celia Frost by Paula Rawsthorne was put on my radar this week as it turned up in many blogger’s “In My Mailbox” posts and the description alone makes it sound gripping. However it’s official publication date from Usbourne isn’t until the 1st August so until then here’s the trailer.

Book Trailer Of The Week: City Of Fallen Angels

April11

This weeks book trailer of the week is the teaser trailer for City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare – the 4th book in The Mortal Instruments series (if you didn’t already know ;) ). And not surprisingly given the much I’ve heard about it recently Amazon are temporarily out of stock.

It comes from VLC Photo Productions, the company behind a whole raft of some of my favorite book trailers and in common with these it is so well made. I love the music and the graphics are stunning, it convinces me if nothing else that I really need to read this series. From the beginning.

City of Fallen Angels was published in the UK by Walker on the 7th April 2011.
